Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has revealed he may not join Real Madrid if he leaves the Blues next summer, confirming his dream to return to the French Ligue 1.
Hazard has been Chelsea’s best player for a few seasons now and continues to show his worth after a sublime start under Maurizio Sarri. His brilliant start to this campaign has only been marred by the injury he suffered in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge a few weeks back. However, his influence in the squad has not diminished and will linger in the minds of Real Madrid’s top hierarchy until the summer transfer window reopens in 2019.
However, the Belgium national team captain has revealed he may not join Real, who have been the closest link to him lately. He had even said publicly he harbors a dream to one day play for Los Blancos. In Hazard’s latest revelation, he would move to the Ligue 1 only to play for former side Lille.
“I’ve had contacts with them, but they are not attracting me. I’ve always said that if I will return to Ligue 1 one day, I want to play for Lille again.”
