It’s happening in a few days: AC Milan arrange meeting with Chelsea to discuss Cesc Fabregas deal

Chelsea are set for showdown talks with AC Milan over the possible deal to allow Cesc Fabregas leave on loan in January, despite his contract coming to an end next summer.

The Blues are keen to extend deals of their stars with less than two years remaining on their current deals but the delay in offering Fabregas a new contract signals they may be ready to listen to offers for him in January or will let him leave for free after this season ends.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder is on the wishlist of Milan according to a report by Corriere Dello Sport in Italy and the Rossoneri are ready to move into discussions for the playmaker in the coming days.

Football Italia cites Corriere Dello Sport as saying the player is also eager to reinvent his career in the Italian Serie A. Should he leave, the Blues will need cover for Jorginho in Chelsea’s three-man midfield.
