Chelsea star midfielder emerges as fresh summer target for Paris Saint Germain

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is reportedly being chased by French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain for a summer deal.

The French giants are seeking to sign a midfielder next year after manager Thomas Tuchel made the request upon arriving at the France capital last summer. With several options in the market to liven things up at the Parc des Princes, Sky Sports via Le 10 Sport says PSG technical director Antero Henrique had added the Spain international to a list of players they want to sign at the end of the season.

Fabregas’ availability as a free agent next summer is another main reason why Les Bleus are considering approaching him.

Two seasoned midfielders, Adrien Rabiot, and Thiago Motta are on their way out of the club and there will be a void in the squad that Fabregas can fill. Rabiot has threatened to leave the club after PSG told him he will not play again until he signs a new deal while Motta is retiring at the end of the season.

Fabregas who has only six months remaining on his current deal is yet to be offered a new deal by the Blues.
