Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set to quit the club in January if the latest reports are to be believed with the player not ready to commit to the one-year deal the Blues are offering.
The Spain international has been on the look-out for a new deal from his employers but Chelsea are slow to table the long-term contract that the player seeks. The Premier League giants have developed a policy in the last few years that stops players older than 30 years from penning more than one-year deals.
Fabregas, who has emerged a target for French Ligue 1 strugglers AS Monaco and Italian Serie A giants AC Milan, is preparing to leave London for a fresh project in Europe, according to Marca in Spain.
The report says the 31-year old’s departure from Chelsea is inevitable in January after realizing he will not be starting more under Maurizio Sarri this season following his relegation to the bench by the Italian tactician who prefers Jorginho.
