Chelsea top target Gonzalo Higuain is set to complete his six-month loan deal to the club according to a report by Calciomercato saying the striker will undergo a medical today ahead of the move.
The Blues have been on the lookout for a new center forward following the continuous profligacy of current strikers. Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, who have both found life difficult under Maurizio Sarri this season, scoring only six goals between them in the Premier League.
According to Sky Sports, Juventus and Chelsea have agreed on the terms of the deal and the player is now allowed to undergo medicals to order to join the Blues – who are hoping to register their main target in time for the Premier League clash against Arsenal – today.
If Chelsea manager to conclude the deal for Higuain, he would be the Blues’ second signing of the January transfer window after the signing of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
