Chelsea turn to Philippe Coutinho to replace Eden Hazard next summer

Chelsea are in the hunt for players in some important positions in their squad and the latest report by Whoscored is that the Blues are aiming at signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho next summer.

The former Liverpool playmaker has emerged as a target for Maurizio Sarri’s side who expect Eden Hazard to depart to Real Madrid at the end of the season. The Belgium international is not interested in extending his contract at Stamford Bridge with strong links to the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.

Hazard’s body language has not been the best in recent weeks, playing out of position, signaling he may no longer be interested in staying at the club.

Should he leave, Coutinho will be the player Chelsea’s top hierarchy want to arrive at the Bridge. He is currently struggling with life in the Barcelona team, dropping out of Ernesto Valverde’s side and now there are rumors that he may want to call time on his career in the La Liga and make a U-turn back to the Premier League.
