Chelsea central defender Gary Cahill has been declared wanted by Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri.
The Italian tactician has been rumored to be interested in moving Cahill from Stamford Bridge to Craven Cottage since his arrival at the club in December. The former Bolton Wanderers defender may also be interested in signing for the Cottagers with his family settled in very well in West London.
According to Calciomercato, Ranieri has admitted his side’s interest in completing a deal for the 33-year old who has lost his place in Maurizio Sarri’s side this season.
“Gary is a very important player and for us [his transfer] would be fantastic. I don’t know if he wants to come and fight with us.”

Cahill is out of the Blues setup this campaign with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger, preferred at the center of the four-man defense. Since dropping out of the starting 11 in the last days under Antonio Conte, Cahill has struggled to wrestle back his position and is now expected to leave Chelsea this month or in the summer, should he fail to find a club in the winter transfer window.
