Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has responded to the reports linking him strongly to Bayern Munich, insisting he is unaware of what would happen with his future at Chelsea.
The 18-year old has not been a regular starter at Stamford Bridge after impressing massively in the youth teams. His remarkable progress has pushed him on to the first team but under Maurizio Sarri, Hudson-Odoi has been restricted to cameo appearances in cup games until the big news that Bayern were interested in signing him.
Since then, Hudson-Odoi has been involved heavily in the first team, still mostly in the cup games that have come thick and fast in the month of January. Bayern’s interest, however, is turning the head of the young England U-20 international who has handed in a transfer request according to BBC.
On Sunday, the teenager scored his second goal in only his fifth start of the season, and after refused to comment on his future.
“I don’t know. I can’t say. But you know I just keep working hard and you never know what happens.”
Asked if he’s had a chat with Bayern Munich, he replied:
“I can’t say. I haven’t. I haven’t had a chat.”
