Chelsea could be without key first-team player against Man City in Carabao Cup final

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed his side could be without the number one goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The clash at Wembley will be the first opportunity for Sarri to pick up silverware as Chelsea boss since his arrival at the club last summer. The Blues’ backs are against the wall already following the 6-0 demolishing by Man City a few days ago. Their problems increase, however, with the defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

And to make matters worse, Sarri says Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper Kepa is possibly going to miss the game next weekend with a hamstring problem.

His absence will be a cause for concern for the Chelsea fraternity as it leaves Willy Caballero in nets against his former side. The Argentina international is set to start the game against Malmo on Thursday night i the Europa League, so he will at least get a little warmup.
