Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are reportedly ready to offer Maurizio Sarri an escape route from his Chelsea struggles next summer.
The former Napoli boss is currently under immense pressure at Stamford Bridge after recent poor results. The Blues lost 4-0 to Bournemouth in the Premier League and another 6-0 thrashing at the hands Manchester City. Their loss to Man United in the FA Cup also dealt Sarri’s long-term future at Chelsea a huge blow.
Now according to a report by Calciomercato, Roma want the 60-year old to replace Eusebio Di Francesco next summer following a bad patch in the Italian top flight. After the 7-1 demolishing by Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia, Roma’s board wanted to sack the head coach but may choose to do so at the end of the season.
Sarri is now their main target and the Mirror’s John Cross tells Chelsea’s boss to take the chance to return to Italy.
I'd take it if I were you, Maurizio… https://t.co/bCYru3QvTo
