Just two players feature in our injury report ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Goodison Park to take on Everton this afternoon.
The Chelsea players involved against Dynamo Kiev midweek successfully managed to avoid injury on the shocking standard of pitch in Ukraine. Maurizio Sarri will have breathed a sigh of relief, with these upcoming fixtures likely proving pivotal in his Chelsea career.
The international break will be upon us after this weekend, but we mustn’t take our eye off the ball and allow Everton to deal yet another blow to our hopes of securing Champions League football for the 2019/20 campaign.

Our desperation for three points leaves us delighted to see that no key players have any significant injury problems ahead of the game. According to Physio Room, Gonzalo Higuain and Marco Van Ginkel are the only two on the injury table.
Van Ginkel is recovering from a long-term knee problem and was never expected to be involved. Higuain, however, missed our Europa League game with what Physio Room describe as ‘illness’. It is yet to be determined if he’ll be involved, per their report.
We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed, but even if he is unable to be involved, we have the option of fielding either of Olivier Giroud or Eden Hazard through the middle.
