Maurizio Sarri is sweating over the fitness of three of his players as he prepares to face Cardiff City in the Premier League this weekend, according to the Express.
As per the report, the Blues are waiting to see if the situation of Davide Zappacosta will improve after the Italian right full-back picked up an injury in Chelsea’s win over Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League round-of-16.
The defender looked solid until his ankle injury and it remains to be seen if he will be fit enough for the bench on Sunday, despite returning to training with the first team.

Joining him on the sidelines could be Ethan Ampadu. He missed the latest batch of international games, struggling to shake off a back problem, as the Express report. He has not featured a lot in recent weeks due to this problem and he will hope to resume playing football soon.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has convinced Sarri of his quality and looked like he will give Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley a fight for a spot in midfield, but his back problems have gone worse and he has remained on the fringes of the Chelsea team.
He dropped out of England’s Euro 2020 qualifiers and the Express believe that he’s subsequently not in Sarri’s thoughts for Cardiff. That’s a real shame for Ruben.
