“We won a lot of trophies, they have not” – Eden Hazard brilliantly taunts Chelsea’s Premier League rivals

Tottenham Hotspur are a club on the rise, playing good football, edging ever closer to winning trophies and also playing in one of the finest stadiums in England, but Eden Hazard is not overly convinced.

The Blues top scorer this season has said that Spurs’ trophyless era means Chelsea are still the bigger club between the pair. The Belgium international has won the Europa League, two Premier League titles, FA Cup and League Cup in his time at Stamford Bridge, compared to Tottenham who have won no silverware in that time.

The North London club are one of the fastest rising sides in the English top flight but are hoping to add silverware to their list of achievements in recent years.

The New White Hart Lane with a seating capacity of over 60,000 is impressive. Actually, it’s extremely impressive but Hazard has no regret being with the Blues, as he admits has been the better of the two.

“Tottenham for two or three years have been one of the best teams in England. That is for sure. We are Chelsea, and it is a big derby.

I don’t like that to be fair but we have to accept it. For the Premier League it is good – new stadium, they have top players. But at the end, you know Chelsea we won a lot of trophies, they have not, so I hope this continues.”
