Chelsea are beginning to see progress in the development of their youth players and access to the first team, and the hopes are high for some of their brightest prospects especially after the emergence of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The pair have been remarkable so far in their careers forging a fine relationship with the fans as well who keep pushing for their inclusion in the first team. They got their wish when the two academy graduates and Andreas Christensen all started a Premier League match for the first time in their history.

Hudson-Odoi was particularly impressive, assisting Olivier Giroud’s goal in the first half. He looked lively and proved to Maurizio Sarri he should have trusted him a while ago.
Eden Hazard, playing on the other flank, was fascinated by Hudson-Odoi’s skills and ability on the ball, and reveals the 18-year old is on his way to greatness but gave him some advise.
“I told him if he stays humble at first, for me it is the best thing, to stay humble.
Just work in training, score goals, and then just be happy on the pitch. He can go very far. For him it is easy because the players he has around him are quite humble, so if we were all thinking we are the best, for him it can be hard to stay humble. But he is intelligent, has a family that cares for him. He has been waiting to start a game in the Premier League but he is ready.
You can see the way he is taking the ball, he is playing with a lot of confidence. He is still young and can improve of course, but yeah, he is already very good. I think he was happy to play. If he wants to ask me something I will tell him, no problem, but he is a great player already. If he wants advice I can teach him but you know he has everything already.”
