Chelsea injury news: Three players carrying problems ahead of West Ham clash

Chelsea have three first-team players carrying injury problems ahead of tomorrow’s clash with West Ham, but Maurizio Sarri won’t be forced into wholesale changes of his starting eleven.

The ever reliable Physio Room report that the only player in Sarri’s squad who is not in adequate condition to feature is Ethan Ampadu, who is continuing his recovery from a back injury.

Both Pedro and Marcos Alonso have problems of their own, but they’re not believed to be serious enough to rule them out of contention for the game. Both may well be left out regardless.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek appears to have now successfully recovered from his long-term back problem. Physio Room believe he’s fit to play, which is superb for him (and us).

We can take another stride towards Champions League qualification with a victory over West Ham tomorrow, especially with Arsenal having lost to Everton earlier today.

We cannot afford to be dropping points at this stage of the season, which is why it’s such great news that we haven’t encountered any serious injury problems ahead of this one.
