Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has been praised for his ability to continuously gain possession for his teams in the last few years since he emerged on the world stage.
The France international is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in recent seasons after he blossomed from the Leicester City squad that won the Premier League in 2016. He was by far one of their brightest stars and quickly jumped ship to Chelsea, where he won the Premier League for a second consecutive time.

Kante continues to woo pundits and fans alike with his work ethic, an attribute Kevin De Bruyne has been most impressed with. The Belgium midfielder who strolls in advanced positions on the pitch for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City insists he has not seen a player with a better work-rate than Kante in the last few seasons.
“Work rate? I’d say N’Golo Kante. The things that he does he’s incredible at, he’s a defensive hoover. It [the defensive side of the game] is really important also.”

Perhaps he is right. Kante has impressed for both Chelsea and France during the 2018 World Cup in Russia, helping Les Bleus win the trophy for the first time in 20 years.
