Maurizio Sarri’s faith in youth pair paying off after another start in Premier League

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri retained faith in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the Blues team and gave them a second consecutive start in the win over West Ham United.

The pair played a good game against the Hammers and although there was no goal or assist to their names by the end of their time on the pitch, they were still cheered by the Blues fans.

Loftus-Cheek looked in control in midfield and managed to glide past opponents for much of the game, just like Hudson-Odoi who both joined Eden Hazard to become the first trio to complete more than five take-ons in a single Premier League match. Its a breath of fresh air to see two of Chelsea’s brightest academy prospects blossoming on the grand stage at the Bridge. They have become true members of the first team and deservedly so. Chelsea fans are a happy group now and even Squawka could not resist taking a moment to celebrate their achievements.
