Manchester United are ready to jump on Chelsea utility teenager Reece James next summer as they chase a replacement for Antonio Valencia.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been on the lookout for players to beef up his squad at the club this season. He has spent a few months with his United stars and has identified the positions that need strengthening. The right-back position has given Solskjaer a lot of problems since he took over as manager. Diogo Dalot is considered not ready for consistent first-team starts, Matteo Darmian has been sidelined and not really considered by the technical team, while Valencia is not remotely close to being back to full fitness.

The experienced right full-back is expected to leave Old Trafford in the coming summer and Man United will need a replacement. The Daily Mail says Chelsea’s James is an option for the Red Devils and they will make a summer approach for him after he starred for Wigan Athletic in the Championship this season.
The 19-year old has played all 44 games for Wigan this season and his fine performances have earned him a slot in the Championship team of the season.
