Good news for Chelsea as starlet confirms he sees his future at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea academy product Reece James has confirmed that he is looking to return to the club in the future, rather than just another talent lost in the loan system.

James is a unique case – because he might be ready already.

We’re always getting carried away with our youngsters, campaigning for them to be given roles in the squad, while they rot out on-loan and are never seen again.

James is not going to be one of those players, take our word for it. He’s only 19-years-old, but Cesar Azpilicueta better watch his back, because this boy is ready.

He’s made 45 appearances for Wigan this term and has made a case for him to be the best player in the Championship at the time of writing. That’s no exaggeration.

Thankfully for us fans, James is looking forward to a future at Chelsea, he revealed this while saying his goodbyes to the Wigan media team:

“It’s always been my dream to break into the first team at Chelsea and hopefully I can get the chance to achieve that in the future.”

Whether Sarri deems him worth a gamble at 19 remains to be seen, but we have a feeling that as soon as he sees him in pre-season, he’ll already be convinced.
