Italian lawyer Luciano Ruggiero Malagnini has explained to TMW how Chelsea will be able to bypass the transfer ban to acquire Gonzalo Higuain.
It’s a concern for all Chelsea fans, finishing the season so far behind the top two teams in the Premier League without the possibility of signing players this summer.
Though Maurizio Sarri is much more of a coach than many of his predecessors, thus more prepared to work within his squad, he will still be needing additions from outside.
He may not be able to get them, if FIFA have their way. It’ll depend on an appeal to the C.A.S, which will hopefully see our ban suspended while the appeal process is ongoing.
If that’s unsuccessful, at least we’ll be able to bring one ‘new face’ in – Gonzalo Higuain.
Luciano Ruggiero Malagnini, a lawyer who spoke to Italian outlet TMW, outlined how the process of signing Higuain would not be affected by the transfer ban.
He explained how exercising the clause to sign Higuain would be done outside of the transfer window, meaning our ban will have been yet to take effect.
