Chelsea legend John Terry set to make fairytale return to Stamford Bridge next month

John Terry is set to return to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea’s injury crisis at the back forcing the club into drastic measures.

We’re only joking. Antonio Rudiger may be out for the season, but it’s difficult to see Terry’s legs being able to function in our remaining fixtures.

He is coming back, but he won’t be playing under Maurizio Sarri…

The yearly ‘Soccer Aid’ which sees former pros battle A-list celebrities is to be held at Stamford Bridge in June, and as the club has revealed on their website, Terry is involved.

It’ll be the first time that Terry has played on the Stamford Bridge turf since he waved goodbye to the club following our Premier League title triumph in 2017.

It’ll no doubt be an emotional return for JT, who enjoyed so many good memories in our great stadium – he won’t be alone in returning, though.

As the club mentioned on their website, Joe Cole and Glen Johnson will be on his team, while Ricardo Carvalho, Didier Drogba and Michael Essien are all included in the World XI.

It promises to be a great day at the Bridge. We can’t wait!
