Ashley Cole urges Maurizio Sarri to give these two Chelsea youngsters a chance

Chelsea legend Ashley Cole has urged Maurizio Sarri to take notice of two of the club’s most promising loanees.

Cole played with some truly world-class players during his time at Stamford Bridge – and has worked under one of them this term in Frank Lampard.

The seven-time FA Cup winner, who has made eight appearances for Derby in total, also had the pleasure of training alongside Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori.

Both have been influential for Derby this season, with their performances going some way to justifying a spot in the Chelsea first-team squad next term.

Cole believes that they’re ready, irrespective of their age, and has urged Sarri to give them a shot. The left-back is quoted by the Telegraph saying:

“For me, both of them have proved themselves and they are definitely good enough to be in the Chelsea squad.”

“We could be asking for another five years ‘are they good enough? but until you play them no-one will ever know.”

Maybe they will excel when put in that position to play five games in a row for Chelsea. That is the only way they will improve.”

Mount and Tomori could be two players set to benefit from our transfer ban, with Sarri currently unable to recruit players from anywhere other than his loan army.

Whether he deems them ready, or a Premier League loan beckons, remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure – these two will be at Chelsea one day.
