Alvaro Morata has insisted that he has no interest in leaving Atletico Madrid – and could even stay there for the remainder of his career.
We wondered how to solve a problem like Morata while the Spaniard was playing in a Chelsea shirt. In January we found the solution – sell him.
It doesn’t matter how well he’s done since leaving Chelsea and embarking on life as an Atletico player, the decision to get rid of him was the right one.
Not only have Chelsea ridded themselves of a striker who frustrated the fans (and probably his teammates too) everytime he took to the field, but Morata is also now very happy.
He’s revealed it himself. Morata is quoted by the Daily Mail revealing that he will never be returning to Chelsea from his loan – he wants to stay with Atletico for good:
“I want to be here, I’m going to do everything I can to continue playing here. I did everything in my power to come, and I’ll do everything in my power to stay.”
“I do not even consider going to another club. I’m delighted and I think I have to do a lot of things here. I do not have anything else in mind, I would like to be at Atletico Madrid all the years that I have left of my career, to be as important as possible in the future.”
