AC Milan make their final decision on the future of reinvigorated Chelsea loanee

AC Milan have made their decision on the future of Tiemoue Bakayoko – and it doesn’t look as though he’ll be sticking around at the San Siro.

Bakayoko looked like a lost cause when he departed Chelsea for Milan on-loan. His reinvigoration in Italy was expected by very few of us.

The Frenchman’s influence in midfield for the Rossoneri earned him a regular starting spot. He fast became one of their most important players.

Chelsea will have thought they struck gold, with there being little doubt Milan would purchase him outright rather than lose a crucial part of the side.

However, they appear to have had a change of tune, with Calciomercato reporting that the final decision is to allow him to return to Chelsea this summer.

Thankfully, the report notes that Chelsea have offers from elsewhere for Bakayoko, so the opportunity to sell him why his stock remains high shouldn’t be missed.

Alternatively, we could always keep him around. It depends what Maurizio Sarri, or whoever else is in charge, sees as the best course of action.
