The Telegraph are the latest publication to report the news that Maurizio Sarri has requested to leave Chelsea for Juventus.
The Europa League looked as though it could serve as a turning point for Sarri, with he finally instilling his philosophy into his squad.
However, news has broken soon after our triumph in Baku that Sarri is on his way out, with Juventus waiting in the wings.
The Telegraph report that Sarri has made it clear to Marina Granovskaia and co that he wants to go, and it looks as though he’ll get his wish.
Chelsea’s hunt for a new manager will begin as soon as a deal is agreed to take Sarri to Turin.
It’s a great shame that Sarri has decided to walk out the door, if the rumours are true. He could have been building something special here.
At least he’ll get the appreciation he deserves as Juventus manager, as well as adding to his newly started trophy collection.
