Cristiano Ronaldo is looking forward to working under Maurizio Sarri at Juventus, according to a report published by Italian website Tuttosport.
Ronaldo has had polarising experiences with managers in the past, with Sir Alex Ferguson comfortably being the best and Jose Mourinho proving less likeable.
With a managerial appointment impending in Turin following the departure of Massimiliano Allegri, Ronaldo will no doubt be curious as to who will take over.
As Tuttosport report, it’s very much looking as though it will be Sarri smoking a cigarette in the dugout come the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
Their belief is that Ronaldo is optimistic about life under the Italian, who has historically brought the best out of the attackers he’s managed.
You only have to look at Eden Hazard producing his most productive season of his Chelsea career under Sarri to imagine what Ronaldo’s numbers could be like.
If Sarri gets it right, he has a fighting chance of being the Juve boss who finally ends their Champions League drought. That would be hard to watch…
