‘We have a range of coaches’ – Sarri saga takes a twist as Juventus chief dampens speculation

Juventus chief Fabio Paratici has revealed that the club are exploring the possibility of appointing several managers – not just Maurizio Sarri.

The feeling has grown over the past week that Sarri will be leaving Chelsea and returning to Italy. Comments from the man himself have also fueled speculation.

Sky Sports reported that he was expecting to be let go by Chelsea in order to put pen-to-paper on a contract with the Italian champions.

Though Sarri may well be holding out for an opportunity to return to Italy, there’s no guarantee that it will be happening with Juventus this summer.

The Sun quote Juve chief Fabio Paratici, who reveals that the club are exploring multiple options to find the right successor for Massimiliano Allegri:

“We have very clear ideas and we are working. It takes a moment, we have a range of coaches, there is not only one name.”

“How long will it take? There is no time limit, we are working very quietly.”

We still expect that Sarri will be the man in charge at the Allianz Stadium come the start of next season. He appears too far distanced from Chelsea to perform a U-turn.

It’s sad we could be heading for yet another managerial change, but at least it gives us something to write about without transfers this summer.
