Petr Cech has taken to Twitter to share his delight at sealing his return to Chelsea in a directorial position.
We’re all delighted to have Big Pete back. He’s one of the most adored figures in the club’s history, which says a lot considering he left to sign for Arsenal.
Nobody is more happy that this deal has come to fruition than Cech himself, however, as he took to Twitter to reveal. Have a look at these two tweets he sent out.
I feel very privileged to have this opportunity to join @Chelseafc again and help create the best possible high level performance environment to continue the success the club has had over the past 15 years … pic.twitter.com/FvcZc698mx

I’m looking forward to the new challenge and hope I can use all of my football knowledge and experience to help the team achieve even more success in the future.

We don’t get the feeling that Cech is here to make up the numbers and coast in his post-retirement stage. He really wants to make a difference at this club.
Having Chelsea men behind the scenes is something that we’ve all begged for in recent seasons, with club operations being further from the public eye than ever before.
We have faith in Petr to make positive changes, which are desperately needed. Kudos to Marina and co for making this one happen.
