Tammy Abraham struck for England U21s during their 4-2 defeat to Romania U21s on Friday night, with the Three Lions youngsters crashing out of the Euros at the group stage.
Abraham was not given the opportunity to start for his country in either of England’s two defeats in the group, but proved his worth during a substitute cameo against Romania.
Not only did Tammy find the back of the net, but he was unlucky not to net a brace, having made great connection with a cross and hammered a header into the crossbar.
He’ll be gutted to have been unable to prevent his team from being knocked out of the tournament, but his goal will no doubt have impressed a certain returning Chelsea legend.
Abraham raced through on goal, brought the ball down with his chest before finding the back of the net with a clinical finish. It’s well worth a watch.
What a brilliant touch and finish from Tammy. We really hope that we see him producing moments like this in a Chelsea shirt come next season.
