Former Chelsea defender Ola Aina produced one of the best assists you’re ever likely to see while in action for Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations.
Aina recently departed Chelsea for Torino after impressing out on-loan at the Serie A outfit, but if the upper brass at Cobham have seen this, they may be wondering if they made the right decision.
The youngster, who is capable of functioning both at right-back and left-back, played a clearly deliberate back-heeled through ball to former Watford man Odion Ighalo, who made no mistake.

Even with Reece James set to return, it seems bizarre that Aina wasn’t considered for a first-team position. Under a new manager who valued his qualities, he may well have got a chance.
As much as we’d love to see Aina develop into a top player at Torino, part of us can’t help but hope that this isn’t just another case of a player we allowed to leave far too prematurely…
