Chelsea youngster Tariq Uwakwe has signed a three-year contract extension, with the option for a further year, report The Sun.
Chelsea have made a habit of stockpiling the best young talent in the world since the turn of the decade and have reaped the rewards in recent seasons.
There isn’t an academy anywhere on the planet with such an amount of talent as ours, which bodes well for the future of this football club.
Having the players in their early years is one thing, though. The real challenge comes in convincing them that it’s worth sticking around here.
One player who Chelsea appear to have had success with is Uwakwe, with the 19-year-old penning a three-year contract extension with the Blues.

Uwakwe has been at Chelsea since U-9 level, so it’s excellent to see that he still sees Chelsea as the best place for him to launch his career as a player.
