Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic netted a brace for the USA during their 3-1 Gold Cup semi-final victory over Jamaica last night.
Pulisic, who will soon be joining up with the Chelsea squad for pre-season, has been in inspired form for his country throughout their Gold Cup campaign.
He continued his excellent performances with a poacher’s double which sent USA into the final of the Gold Cup against Mexico, who defeated Haiti 1-0.
Pulisic was in the right place at the right time to beat the Jamaican goalkeeper and score his first goal of the night…
And his second was pretty similar. Getting into the right position to anticipate the rebound and subsequently beating the keeper.
While neither of these were the prettiest of goals, Chelsea have been crying out for a winger with these kind of positional instincts.
If Pulisic continues to try his luck in the penalty area moving forward, he has a great chance of producing some respectable numbers in his debut Premier League season.
