According to the Express, Chelsea could’ve already announced Frank Lampard’s appointment if not for matters beyond their control.
We are all eagerly awaiting Lampard’s return to the Blues being officially announced by the club, with the impatience increasing with every hour that passes.
Annoyingly, the Express believe that we might have been put out of our misery already – had it not been for the worldwide social media crash on Wednesday night.
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were all affected, leaving social media in a mess. The Express claim that this forced Chelsea to push back the announcement.
It makes perfect sense, with the influence of social media undeniable when it comes to announcing news of this magnitude. That doesn’t make it any less annoying, though.
Thankfully, you have to think that today will be the day that it will be made officially official, which means I can finally sleep and stop spamming the F5 button.
