Frank Lampard is officially back at Chelsea – and the Blues supporters on Twitter have hit the roof.
We’ve been waiting (im)patiently for official confirmation of Lampard’s return, and at 9am BST this morning the club finally provided us with it.

The prospect of having a club legend in charge is something that we haven’t experienced in the Roman Abramovich era, but the time is right for it to happen.
There was such a disconnect between the fans and the dugout last season under Maurizio Sarri, but the arrival of Lampard will put a stop to that problem.
We all recognise that, and Chelsea fans appear to be incredibly excited about what the future holds under Lampard’s modern-minded stewardship.
