Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard appears to have forgotten that his new role at the club will not involve lacing his boots and getting stuck in on the field of play.
Lampard spent 13 years at Chelsea as a player, establishing himself as the top goal scorer and one of the best players in this club’s illustrious history.
After five years away, Lampard has been given the opportunity to return to Stamford Bridge, this time as head coach, rather than in a playing role.
That information does not appear to have been relayed to the man himself, however, with Lampard getting involved in the Rondo during Chelsea training.

On a serious note, it’s great to see Lampard getting up close and personal with his new players. He’ll be able to assess their strengths and weaknesses better that way.
Can you imagine Maurizio Sarri attempting this? His lungs would collapse after a matter of minutes!
