Chelsea predicted XI v Gladbach: Frank Lampard to make one change from midweek

Chelsea take on Borussia Monchengladbach tomorrow in what will be Frank Lampard’s final opportunity to get his team into shape before the beginning of the Premier League campaign.

Manchester United away is just nine days from now, so we believe that Lampard will name his strongest starting eleven for this one, with the team looking something like this.

Kepa Arrizabalaga will start in goal, with Cesar Azpilicueta still occupying the right-back spot in the absence of Reece James.

David Luiz and Kurt Zouma will be partnered in defence once again, with Emerson Palmieri taking up the spot on the left side of defence.

With N’Golo Kante still out injured, a Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic double pivot appears likely once again, with Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater seemingly being frozen out.

The attacking midfield trio is likely to be the same as we saw against RB Salzburg, with Christian Pulisic and Pedro flanking the impressive Ross Barkley.

The only change from the team we saw in Austria is likely to be at the forefront of the attack, with Michy Batshuayi to start ahead of Tammy Abraham, who fired blanks on Wednesday.

That would leave the starting eleven looking something like this. What do you think, Blues?
