David Luiz? A Chelsea legend? That’s the funniest thing we’ve heard in a while.
While the Brazilian was a great servant to the Blues during his two respective stints here, there’s a certain manner which we expect our most esteemed players to conduct themselves.
He has fallen miserably short of our expectations.
Yesterday he was one of our most loved players, today he’s one of the most resented. That’s how quickly things can change in football, but the 32-year-old only has himself to blame.
Take a look at this tweet from the man himself after he signed his two-year extension back in May. It shows just how much of a fake he is, and why we shouldn’t be sad to see him go.
So happy to be here until 2021 !!! I love this club and I will always give my best for this shirt !! Thank you for all your support!! 💙💙💙 @ChelseaFC pic.twitter.com/g4Umq1v3Fd

We want players who are genuinely committed to playing for Chelsea, not mercenaries who kick up a fuss when they don’t get their own way and subsequently depart for a rival.
Good riddance.
