Chelsea and Manchester United’s starting elevens for today’s clash at Old Trafford have been confirmed as the countdown begins towards the opening game of our Premier League season.
It’s been over two months since we saw Chelsea in competitive action against Arsenal in the Europa League final. Today’s game has been a long time coming, and we’ve looked forward to it ever since Frank Lampard signed along the dotted line on his extraordinary return to Stamford Bridge.
In Lampard’s first game in charge of the Blues, he comes up against a Man United side led by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a player who he faced during their playing days. Solskjaer’s first season in charge of the Reds proved to be a tale of two halves, with United ending the season poorly.
He’ll be looking to get off to a strong start this time around, though, as will Lampard. Both managers have named strong teams, with the players who performed the best in pre-season being included from the off. Frank has put full confidence in his youngsters today – will it pay off for us?
What do you think of today’s teams?
