Chelsea have, quite rightly, decided that the situation surrounding out-on-loan midfielder Danny Drinkwater is not their problem.
The Sun revealed early on Sunday that Drinkwater had suffered torn ankle ligaments after falling victim to an attack outside of a Manchester nightclub.
We use the word victim loosely, with Drinkwater making advances on another player’s girlfriend while seemingly highly intoxicated.
We’re sick of hearing the continual stream of negative news relating to Drinkwater, and it appears Chelsea are equally tired of it.
Telegraph reporter Matt Law has claimed on Twitter that Chelsea have left Burnley to resolve the situation, rather than having any involvement themselves.
Burnley yet to decide whether they will fine Drinkwater. Chelsea leaving it to them to sort out https://t.co/oaiA1KZSnY

And quite right, too. Drinkwater will never play another game of football in a Chelsea shirt, so why would we be remotely concerned by what he’s doing?
Drinkwater is the epitome of unprofessionalism and we want nothing to do with him any further. He’s Burnley’s problem now.
