Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Bayern Munich at Stamford Bridge tonight, and never looked like they were in the game.
They held the the German champions for a while, but in the end were overwhelmed. On BT Sport, Rio Ferdinand was a pundit, and he described how Chelsea were given “an absolute education” by Munich.
“It was a clinic put on by this Bayern team,” he enthused. Nobody could disagree. Let’s hope some of our young players can learn from this battering, otherwise it really wasn’t worth.
