Chelsea were given an education by Bayern Munich tonight at home, and after the game Frank Lampard was very clear in how he felt the game had gone.
“It’s a reality check for the work that needs to be done,” the Blues boss said. There’s work to be done on his end to be sure, but we agree with him that as much as anything this team needs better players if they’re to compete with teams at the top level like Bayern.
It really was a cold water bath for everyone, from fans to manager to players. the hard work starts now.
