Conor Gallagher has been one of the breakthrough stars of this season, playing brilliantly on loan at Crystal Palace and then getting a senior England team callup this week.
Thomas Tuchel didn’t need that evidence know what a player he had on his hands though, as he explained in his presser today. “I loved him from day one” the Chelsea manager said, before explaining why the midfielder was such a coach’s dream.
“I loved him from day one” the former Dortmund boss said.
