Chelsea’s title challenge has felt like it’s slipping away in recent weeks, but tonight changed all that.
Romelu Lukaku came off the bench at half time to pick up a goal and an assist and the mood around the team changed with him on the pitch.
Asked after the game whether his team were still in it, the striker didn’t hesitate. “We are the hunters now,” he declared, and with him back and scoring we might just have a chance of catching a rampant city team.
Three points today was the ideal start.
