Chelsea midfielder linked with Premier League switch – but

West Ham have been linked with a bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in tabloids like the Daily Star today.

Gallagher is fresh off a superb loan spell with Crystal Palace, where he played so well that he was nominated for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award.

There is a strong sense that Thomas Tuchel will be keen to use Gallagher in his own squad next season, but if he decides he would prefer the 22 year old out to go out on loan again, West Ham feel like a good option.

They have a good manager in David Moyes, and this season really impressed pushing on in Europe and almost reaching the top 4 in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace are desperate to keep him, and the Hammers won’t be the only team in Europe coveting his services – but as it stands we can’t see anything other than Chelsea keeping him and using him next season.

  1. As a CP fan in the Midwest US and of Irish heritage, I have followed Gallagher with interest. He is truly the “Irish Energizer Bunny”. Nevertheless, he has some glaring weaknesses which need to be developed.— Not ready for Chelsea. He thinks that he is but that is one of his problems. He has a big head and was really inconsistent down the stretch for CP. He was obviously out partying. He can’t shoot “worth a lick”. Moyes would be a good fit.
