Chelsea are looking to make a number of improvements to their squad over the next few months when the sanctions have finally been lifted and the transfer window opens up.
It’s going to be a busy time at Stamford Bridge with so many potential targets already being linked with the club. As well as that, there are many players who could potentially depart or are at least looking to hold discussions with the club regarding their futures.
Sources: Romelu Lukaku not ready to give up on Chelsea dream yet.
One area where they might need to improve on is the left hand side, especially if Marcos Alonso does leave the club as is being heavily reported these last few weeks.
Ben Chilwell was out for eight months last season, proving the importance of having squad depth and competition in every position.
One player who would certainly do that is Brighton’s Marc Cucurella, who Chelsea are interested in signing this summer, along with many other clubs.
The Sun claim that Brighton have told these interested clubs that Cucurella will cost £45m this summer!
