Mason Mount’s season is over, and he’s having a well earned rest after a few punishing years of endless football.
He will be wishing he had one more game to play though, with the Champions League final taking place tonight. His Chelsea team came so close, but in the end a brilliant moment from Luka Modric sliced them open, and they were left just short of the game in Paris tonight.
The midfielder is in Monaco to watch the Grand Prix tomorrow rather than the French capital to watch the final, and when he was asked about the game he had no strong opinions over who might win.
Mason Mount on #UCLfinal:
"I'm not sure [how it will go]. Obviously it's a top game, two top teams, so I'm very, very excited to watch. I wish we [#Chelsea] were there but it will be a good game, we will see."

He said he wasn’t sure who would win, but did point out that he wished he was there.
We all do Mason. Still, enjoy the race and your holidays. The club’s player of the year has earned a bit of rest at last.
