The links to Lazio have been going on for a long time for Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but now the summer transfer window is open, new options are springing up for the midfielder.
Inter Milan are the new hot name on the radar, and given how much Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri liked RLC, it should be no surprise that a much more vertical and dynamic Inter team, also in Serie A, are interested.
Football.Italia report that an initial loan move would be the only way for Inter to get a deal done, but that might suit Chelsea too. After a solid season playing a squad role, Loftus-Cheek would only get a moderate transfer fee.
But if he plays a full season in Serie A and shows what he can do on loan, we could expect a much larger fee next summer.
Thomas Tuchel has shown he likes the academy product and his versatility, but that doesn’t mean he won’t agree to let him go for the right price.
