Chelsea are looking to sort out a number of pressing issues now the new owners are in place at Stamford Bridge.
As well as a busy summer expected ahead at the club with transfers and a squad rebuild, there are also a number of players who’s contracts will need to be looked at.
Chelsea are growing in confidence of signing Ousmane Dembele this summer.
Some players have contracts ending next summer, others have a little more time on them. However, one of the ‘key things’ that the new owners want to do is renew and improve the contract of midfielder Mason Mount, according to Fabrizio Romano yesterday.
The England international has until 2024 on his contract, so it isn’t a massively urgent issue. But Mount himself has been ‘waiting for a new contract for months’ now and it looks like he is just as keen to extend as Chelsea are.

It will certainly be one of the priorities over the next few months.
