There has been a lot of noise around the last few days regarding one Chelsea target in particular.
It has been pretty straight-forward with this one for quite some time, but as always is the case with many of these transfer deals, things change and other clubs come in and try to spoil the party.
Sources: Chelsea have a genuine interest in Matthijs De Ligt and are in talks to sign him.
It looks like that is what Barcelona have been trying to do with Chelsea’s pursuit of Jules Kounde, a player who they have been trying to sign for a year now but could not agree a fee last summer.
Lots of Catalan reports started claiming that Barcelona were advancing for Kounde in the last couple of days, but it appears that Chelsea are still on course to sign him.
A couple of UK media outlets have reported Chelsea are still confident today.
Nothing is in the way of the Jules Kounde to Chelsea deal as long as the fee is agreed between clubs.

But perhaps one of the most interesting report from today was from local Sevilla media, ABC Sevilla, as cited by Sport Witness.
They claim that Jules Koundé has ‘already agreed’ a five-year deal with Chelsea, which includes a salary that would be two or three times more than what Barcelona can currently offer. Sevilla wait for Chelsea to match their €60-65m [£52m-£56m] valuation.

It would be nice to actually see some results in the transfer market instead of the constant talk. The club is famous for dragging things out, trying to get a bargain, only to find some other club paying the asking price, we miss out, and have to settle on a third, or forth choice. —— Does LUKAKU ring a bell !!!!!!!!!!

Not just with Lukaku. We’ve become famous for haggling over fees that we miss out on prospects but pay over the odds for players who in turn out a waste of money. i.e Kepa

On lukaku’s move to inter is like playing games, don’t let him go, just give him good time to play so that he can catch up with tutual’style of play, think what happened last time when he was sold to inter, we we fooled ourselves and we went to buy what was sold, again u we want sold at a cheaper price? I think the club has to make sure that we sign atlist two or three players in order to compete with Liverpool and man City which had already completed their first signings . On man City chelsea had interested in Halaand since last season only to end up joining man City Liverpool likewise on Darwin.

What do you expect from Chelsea in the transfer market? A club being led by a woman. The last time I escorted my wife to the market, she haggled and haggled until she was cursed out by the seller. She left swearing she will never go back to that seller again only for her to approach another seller for a lesser quality and at a higher price just to spite the previous seller. Java!
