Inter Milan’s financial issues meant they had to sell several players (including Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi) last summer, as well as effectively forcing them to let Antonio Conte go too.
Those sales haven’t filled their financial black hole yet, and they could yet shed more talent this summer.
The Evening Standard reports that both of the team’s top two central defenders are on the chopping block, and could both make Premier League moves this summer.
Both Milan Skrinian and Alessandro Bastoni are regularly linked with transfers to the English top flight, with Tottenham and Chelsea top of the list at the moment.
Apparently both could be sold this summer, with their CEO Giuseppe Marotti saying they will “probably be forced to sell someone in that position.”
Their priority is keeping their attacking talent – which might just open a vital route for Chelsea to bolster their extremely thin back line.
